In an attempt to compete with Andhra Pradesh and neighboring states, K. Chandrasekhar Rao Chief Minister plans to restructure Hyderabad on global standards. KCR is contemplating building skyscrapers around Hussain Sagar and authorities and aimed to get to the details of government land available in and around the Sagar. The plan is to build skyscrapers that have beautiful and picturesque landscape / Sagar lake view. We hear that this plan would emulate popular world Singpore Petronas Twin Towers.

As part of the plan, the government wants to build the towers and then lease them or trust building to private developers in Public Private Patership. The government even relax construction standards to facilitate skyscrapers. The space in the towers used for various corporate offices, key government departments and business premises on lease.

This is not all. KCR has said that Hussain Sagar Hyderabad is the gift and then told me he wants to clean Sagar Lake, with immediate effect and want to turn it into a freshwater lake that can be used to drink, household. In addition to planning the construction of twin towers around Hussain Sagar, the Telangana government is also considering other parts of the city to build similar skyscrapers. KCR asked officials on land near Sanjeevayya Park, Boats Secunderabad Club of land and vacant land adjacent to Jalavihar and asked them to report on it. KCR is of the view that the skyscraper would be key "growth" component such as Naidu "HITEC City".
