As expected earlier, Tamil Superstar Rajiniknth the "Lingam" was released on December 12 confirmed that also fall as a birthday Rajinikanth. Rajini, he confirmed the date of issue to the media in Bangalore. The main part of the film was shot in Ramoji Film City and Mysore and the film is currently shooting in Annpurna Studios. 

Anushka and Sonakshi Sinha to pair with Rajini in the movie, while Rajinikanth essays two characters in the film. AR Rehaman is composing music movie.KS Ravikumar is directing this film. Rockline Venkatesh produces film at Rockline Enertainment.
