The Congress high command is said to be, not in favour of President's rule in the State and is expected to find a replacement for N Kiran Kumar Reddy to ensure continue in governance till the general elections.

The unfolding political developments in Delhi gave an indication to this effect. The ruling party may take a decision in this regard in a day or two and according to reliable sources the search for the successor of Kiran Kumar Reddy is still on. In all likelihood, it may choose a leader from the Seemandhra region as the next Chief Minister to improve the party's prospects in the area.
