Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan has accepted the resignation of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and asked him to continue in office till alternative arrangements are made.
The official communication puts to an end the confusion for the past two days over the status of the resignation and the status of the council of ministers. Mr Reddy had submitted his resignation to the Governor on February 19 in protest against the Congress' and Centre's decision to divide AP and the way the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill was dealt with in Parliament.
