The short-session of the State Assembly will begin on February 10, primarily to pass the vote-on-account budget. The State legislative Council will also begin on the same day. The State Cabinet will meet on February 10 at 9 AM in the Committee Hall of the Assembly to approve the budget. The decision on the Assembly schedule was taken after discussions between Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Speaker Nadendla Manohar. Finance Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy would present the vote-on-account budget for the next six months at 11 am on February 10The Telangana members may question the way the resolution opposing the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, 2013, was passed with a voice vote in the previous session.

On the other hand, the Centre is going ahead with the introduction of the Telangana bill in the Parliament, most probably on February 12, and it would have its echo in the Assembly. Tempers are required to run high among the members on either side of the regional divide. There is intense speculation over the next move of the Chief Minister whose efforts to stall the bifurcation process have not yielded any results so far. Reports are making rounds that he might put in his papers as soon as the bill is introduced in the Parliament. According to sources, he might also seek dissolution of the Assembly.
