Congress has announced three candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections in the state. Congress did not announce the fourth candidate as it came to an understanding with TRS.

There are 6 seats on the whole in which 3 are expected to be won by Congressand 2 by TDP. Because of the Congress and TRS understanding TRS has announced their candidate Keshav Rao even though they do not have enough support. Keshav rao shifted from Congree to TRS in the past.

After it was confirmed that Congress will be supporting Keshav Rao only TRS announced him as the Rajya Sabha candidate. It is because of this reason that Congress has only announced three candidates.
