The Aam Aadmi Party’s first public meeting in the state saw protests over its support for Telangana statehood.
AAP leader Prashant Bhushan said, “We support smaller states, as there is decentralisation of power. However, it does not end with the formation of Telangana. We need decentralisation till the grass-root level.” This led to protests, and many persons in the audience started raising United AP slogans.
Asked about Seemandhra, he said, “I want to assure people of the Andhra region that our party will work hard for the rights of people of all regions.”
