Ex MLA Shankar Rao of Mahabubnagar is building a temple for Sonia Gandhi in his land as thanks giving for the formation of Telngana state in his native place Mahabubnagar.

The statue of Sonia Gandhi for the temple was ordered by Shankar Rao in Krishna District, Baapulapaadu Mandalam, Bommalapur. The sculptor being Shilpi Prasad. Shankar Rao has inspected the idol in Bommalooru where he went along with his family. He informed that they would be installing the idol in the temple in a short while.
