This is good news for the people of Khammam district. If all goes well, the medical specialty super, now available in NIMS, Hyderabad alone, will be made available to patients in the hospital district headquarters of the government and the state government plans to increase resistance to the bed 400 250 existing and provide new equipment.
As part of this, the government has sanctioned TRS `6 million rupees Khammam hospital Saturday. A team of six members visited the hospital Hyderabad Khammam few days ago and the site and facilities available to upgrade the hospital was examined. Hospital Superintendent Dr. T Laxman Rao said a section of cardiology, neurology section, renal dialysis section and separate center will be set up in the hospital with the upgradation.
Due to the lack of services at district level super specialty, the poor are suffering both health and financially. Once the hospital receives a special status as NIMS, people will receive super-specialty health services and corporate and NIMS hospital in Hyderabad. It is known that the government will not have any additional charge for the poor after upgrading the hospital.
Dr Laxman Rao said the government had sanctioned `6 million rupees to upgrade the hospital and granted special status and added that had submitted proposals for the construction of buildings and equipment purchases para` 25 million rupees to the government. He hoped that the works since March 2015 and 20 hectares will be available on the same premises.
