It seems that all is not well with the two dominant partners of Andhra Pradesh. The six months in power seems to have developed enough gaps between the allies - the Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata.
Since Congress was biting the dust in the last general elections, the BJP had set their sights on the senior leaders of the party. He had managed former Union Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao on behalf of kamma strong community and former State Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana represents the Kapu community in the match.
Now, it set its eyes on some other congressional leaders that provide political space that Congress could not give at least the next 10 years. Twice during his visit to the city, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu had openly declared that the BJP would fill the political vacuum in the State caused by the debacle of Congress. "We want to take the absence of a strong opposition in Andhra Pradesh. Let us grow stronger in the state," Venkaiah Naidu said. True to its claims, the party leadership in the state is ROPING slowly in some strong leaders of Congress and the list is long and interesting.
Having set their sights on the leaders of Congress, the BJP seems to have become the ally - TDP. The party had already set their sights on the development of discontent in the ruling party beer. The other day, the Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murthy had openly expressed their dissatisfaction with the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu N not he and other ministers allowed to speak in the Assembly. Interestingly, Krishna Murthy, who holds the portfolio of significant revenue, is not part of the subcommittees of the cabinet in the capital, including the sharing of the earth. It is a known fact that the Minister of Revenue has a great role to play in the sharing of land or acquisition, the participation of Deputy Chief Minister in the exercise gives room for rumors of discontent to do rounds. The Congress leader and former deputy JC Diwakar Reddy is understood to be unhappy with the TDP, especially the style of Mayor of operation. Similarly, his counterpart Narasaraopet, Srinivasa Rao Rayapati, former deputy Narasaraopet and Guntur West MLA Modugula this Venugopala Reddy, are some of the names that are doing rounds that have some discontent.
TDP senior leader and former minister Ch Ayyannapathrudu northern coastal districts is also transmitting dissent often and is said to be unhappy with the leadership. Most TDP leaders feel that the Chief Minister advised taking only a few ministers and parliamentarians ignore others. Not many are in the inner circle of the Chief Minister. Several of them are not even receiving information and invitations chief minister on important issues to be discussed and debated. There are some leaders who feel they are being neglected by staff at the behest of some ministers. The sudden burst of Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas Friday against district officials considered as an indication of such discontent. These leaders feel they are not being invited or not involved and become part of the major initiatives of the government. It is here that the BJP is trying to take advantage, it is learned.
