The Telangana government decided to establish a thermal power plant of 7,600 MW in the Nalgonda district.
Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who conducted an aerial survey of Bilavarpur, Veerlapalem in Damercherla Mandal, decided to establish these units.
The power plant will be set to about 7,800 acres at a cost of Rs 55,000 crore. "The power plant will employ between 20,000 and 30,000 people," Rao said.
Survey of land for thermal power plant is jointly established by NTPC and Telangana Genco begin Wednesday.
"The new power plant will be established in the Nalgonda district in Bilavarpur and Veerlapalem area. Minister instructed officials to begin surveying from Wednesday," Dr Narasaiah Goud said TRS MP.
