Hyderabad: A police inspector died in a traffic accident in Jubilee Bus Station at Secunderabad on Wednesday night.

According to the Marredpally police, inspector, T Tirupathi Rao, 52, slipped while trying to board a running RTC bound Karimnagar (AP29 Z1779) JBS around 19:30 on Wednesday bus. He suffered multiple injuries to the head and body and died in Gandhi Hospital a few minutes later.

Tirupathi Rao was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the range of Warangal. He was a native of Karimnagar district, according to the sergeant V Ravi Kumar.
