Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao is committed to fulfill the electoral promise of his party to provide 12 percent reservation for the STB. He said the government is considering the inclusion of some castes Scheduled Tribes category, to increase the population from the existing 9 percent to 12 percent.
He disclosed this Thursday, while laying the foundation stone for the construction of three buildings - Banjara Bhavan, Komaram Bheem adivasi and Babu Ram Bhavan Jagjivan Bhavan - each costing Rs 2.5 million rupees each in a acre of land on the road no 10, Banjara Hills. He said a committee headed by a retired High Court judge would soon be appointed to submit report on the implementation of the reserve for the STB.
