The Hinduja Power Project management has begun sending electrical signals to both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states simultaneously so as not to antagonize anyone. This is already creating controversy as developers are consulting both states for power purchase agreements about 1040 MW power project Hinduja
The project is expected to generate power for February 2015. Senior officials of the company and completed preliminary discussions with state officials about the possibilities Telangana power purchase yesterday and are doing the same with AP officials too.
However, officials in Andhra Pradesh have already announced that they will not share any power since the plant is located in Visakhapatnam. Meanwhile, the state of Telangana is demanding distribution of 1,040 MW power plant in 54:46 ration and asked the South Regional Load Dispatch Center (SRLDC) for the same. But AP rejected this demand saying Telangana only get equity from their investment, since there was no power purchase agreement between them.
