Hyderabad: The Legislature of the State of Telangana on Friday unanimously approved the first Appropriations Bill for 2014-15 on Friday. The budget bill, presented by Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, was supported by T Congress, BJP, MIM, YSRCP and CPI (M).

The Congress, which had issued a whip, also supported the bill stating he was not against development activities. Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy, however, demanded that the government release white paper on state finances. TDP members staged a walkout from the House in protest against the conduct of members of the treasury benches did not allow Revanth Reddy speaking in the House during the debate on the bill.
In response to the bill, the finance minister said the management strategy of government spending was redirecting public spending towards less productive investments that would result in benefits for the poor and needy lasting regimes. The government was firmly convinced that the development would be meaningless if the poor are excluded. With these objectives in view, the government was taking a number of flagship programs, he said.
Telangana state, he said, expecting revenues of around Rs 48,620 crore in the year 2014-15. This includes Rs 35.378 million rupees Tax Revenues and Rs 13.242 million rupees non-tax revenues.
