Hyderabad: BJP legislator G. Kishan Reddy on Friday lashed out at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana to impose restrictions on the media.
Speaking in the Assembly, Mr. Reddy said that attacks on the media have increased across the state under the rule of TRS and warned the government that was not good for democracy.
"If you think that any group of media is in the wrong, you can start an action under the law. But you are trying to terrorize media with threats. Mr. Reddy said the "anti-media communication posture" of the main leaders of TRS has been encouraging party cadres to resort to attacks. "Attacks on media and journalists have it increased in rural areas.
