Indonesia has been rocked by a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.3 today. Officials and tsunami warning issued in the region.
US Geological Survey said the quake shook the Malacu Islands located in eastern Indonesia and the undersea earthquake occurred 46 kilometers deep at 10:31 a.m., northwest of Kota Ternate.
Pacific Tsunami Warning Center announced possibility of tsunami waves within 300 kilometers and could reach parts of Indonesia, together with Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan and South Pacific islands.
The center said the tsunami waves 30 cem one meter could hit Indonesia.
