Hyderabad: In a major initiative, the government of Andhra Prdesh plans to spend a few thousand crore under HARITA projects to improve irrigation facilities to encourage farmers to go for three crops in a year.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday made its decision after talks with senior officials of the departments of agriculture, irrigation and revenue in Hyderabad.
He directed the officials to initially implemented as a pilot project in three districts in the state 30, 000 farmers benefit.
Instruct officials to provide all possible assistance to farmers in the state, the prime minister said that no farmer should suffer for their government reported.
Stating that farmers in AP had lost their crops due to the impact of the cyclone, the prime minister had instructed officials to provide any technical assistance to farmers recover from their losses.
