Mumbai: Passenger services on the Central Railway line were disrupted on Thursday morning after the engine and one General Second Class-cum-Guard’s van of the Amravati-Mumbai Express (12112) train derailed near Kalyan.
The accident took place at Kalyan railway station, while the train was entering Platform No 4 of the station at 04.50 am.
Rail traffic at Kalyan on North East Up line (Igatpuri-Kasara-Kalyan Up Line) was restored from 7.20 am
However, no casualty was reported. Restoration of traffic is in full swing.
Passenger carrying trains are likely to be regulated / diverted / cancelled or trans-shipment would be arranged.
