Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu AP has ordered the immediate release of Rs 800 million rupees for the Gram Panchayats in the State.
In a review of the use of financial resources in the 26 departments, the Chief Minister directed the officials to use the funds released in each Gram Panchayat for placing proper roads, drainage system, installation of street lighting and ensure health and sanitation. On the roads in urban areas, the Chief Minister said Rs 107 million rupees could be used. Focusing on the management and disposal of waste, which asked officials to identify sites for dumping yards in all gram panchayats in the State.
Naidu asked officials of Panchayat Raj NREGA, RWS departments to strive to raise funds worth Rs 1,300 crore in the center and use them properly to respective / schemes works. In areas of the agency, the chief minister suggested that a Special Grant Fund Area be used for development. The CM has asked the Forest Department to use Rs 150 crore to implement water conservation works on war footing.
He said, Rs 50 crore will be released for planting saplings. The Forest Department will work with private nurseries in this direction. In forest areas, the Chief Minister suggested that dams and other waterways could be marked on Google maps. The officials of the Pollution Control Board has been directed to utilize funds worth Rs 8 crore.
Interaction with the Tourism department officials, the Chief Minister said the department could use Rs 13 million rupees (the underutilized funds) to 13 districts (each district - Rs 1 crore) to celebrate the holidays in the district. He was informed that there are only five Shilparamams total of 13 companies. He said it could be established in the remaining nine companies also. The land acquisition for Shilparamams, the Chief Minister said he would discuss it with districts to collectors.
To reduce infant mortality rate in the State, the Chief Minister Rs 6 million rupees have not been used by the department may be spent to reduce the rate of improvement and show indicators of human development said. He also directed the Department of Rural Water Supply use the funds amounting to Rs 326 million rupees for water systems in the next six months and leave with an action plan. He ordered that drinking water should be available at all schools and suggested the installation of RO plant in every town.
The Chief Minister said the Centre's Campaigns "SWACHH Bharat", "Digital India", "Making of India" and other innovations, tourism programs are important. He asked the officials to come out with an action plan to raise funds for the state, the Centre for these programs. He also called on the Primary and Higher Education, Medicine and Health, Industries, Trade and Commerce, Housing and other department officials to ensure proper use of funds.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to study the welfare, capital expenditures and asset creation. He said the Chief Secretary held weekly views on the use of funds, while the CM reviewed every two weeks.
