Hyderabad: No immediate solution to overcome the acute power shortage in Telangana, KCR Chief Minister has come to power saving mode.
Energy saving has become the top priority of the government. Now the government has decided to reduce air conditioners in the secretariat. With CCAA continuous buzzing in all rooms, AC power bills only running on Rs 50 lakh per month.
Rajiv Sharma Telangana Chief Secretary has issued orders for the removal of ACs that were installed without permission. He entrusted the responsibility of cutting the CCAA to the respective department heads.
Meanwhile, KCR has instructed Prabhakar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, State of Telangana Genco and Transco to reduce power industries vacation from two days to one day, in view of the improvement in the position of power supply.
