Krishna district officials delivered 15,000 food packages to flood devastated Hudhud districts in northern Andhra Monday.
Utilities and revenue departments, with the help of agencies kits prepared with tamarind rice, crackers, curd, buttermilk and water and transported to the areas affected by the floods.
Penamaluru tahsildar Murali Krishna said about 7,500 packages are packed in Tadigadapa and supplied to the districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam. Vijayawada Urban tahsildar R. Siva Rao was monitoring food packaging jobs in Vidyadharapuram in town.
Food packages were transported via helicopter, the agencies said. Meanwhile, many packets philanthropists provide food, water and milk to the victims of floods in the districts of East and West Godavari and North Andhra.
