Willing to move to "ad hoc capital" Vijayawada Hyderabad State at the earliest, the government of Andhra Pradesh today a committee of three members of the Principal Secretary to examine the change of the offices of heads of departments.
Besides being the ad hoc capital Vijayawada region will eventually become the permanent capital of the state, although the exact location of this has not been fixed yet.
The committee, comprising principal secretaries of finance, roads and buildings and departments of municipal administration, examine the heads of departments whose offices have to be shifted from Hyderabad "on priority".
"We also will look at the place / places where HoD offices are to be located, the quantum of office space / accommodation required and rent and other issues such as the need for officials and employees who may be transferred to accommodation places Heads of Delegation moving and house rents rates prevailing there, "according to an order issued by the chief Secretary of the state AIA Krishna Rao.
The committee would also set to change within the offices of heads of delegation and look in any other matter, the chief secretary said.
The panel has been asked to submit its report to the government within a fortnight.
The government has already decided to create an "ad hoc capital" in Vijayawada until a permanent location is identified for the new seat of power was in Hyderabad after Telangana.
