ew Delhi: Doordarshan will soon be ready to launch a new regional channel that operate from designated capital of Andhra Pradesh, Vijaywada. 

In a tweet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, who visited Andhra Pradesh, said that the channel will be ready later this month. 

"Reviewed #dd preparations -. Vijayawada will be ready for the opening later this month," Javadekar said in a post on Twitter. 

Sources said the public broadcaster Prasar Bharati will establish a new center of Doordarshan in Vijaywada.
