Hyderabad: A Bench Division comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar of Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday directed the state government to explain its position Telangana on a petition challenging the ordinance issued by the same on 16 August 2014, and the subsequent GO terminating committees of existing agricultural markets. 

M. Tirupathi Rao and six chairs of various committees of the agricultural market in the state moved the petition seeking to suspend the execution of the Ordina-na and the consequent GO. 

The petitioners told the court that the government has directed the commissioner and director of agricultural marketing person in charge immediately appoint committee of each market and run until it re-established the market committee. Sarasani Satyam Reddy, senior counsel for the petitioners, said the government does not have the power to eliminate all members of existing committees. 

The Bank issued notices to the government and asked him to explain his position within a week. EC receives notice of Allagadda bypoll 

A Bench Division comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice PV Sanjay Kumar of the High Court Hyderabad on Wednesday issued notice to the Election Commission of India on a petition seeking directions to conduct byelection to election of Allagadda District Assembly Kurnool.

The petitioner states that the party's candidate, Shobha Nagi Reddy, died in a car accident on 24 April this year and elections were not postponed as it was not a recognized political party. He said that according to Article 151-A of the Representation of the People Act, has resulted in such casual must be completed within six months, but the EC does not include the segment Allagadda notification issued on 16 August for the conduct of byelections in all jobs in the country. While issuing notices to the EC, the Bank granted three weeks to the filing of the counter affidavit.
