Congress MLC ponguleti sudhakar reddy on Friday demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao take an all-party delegation to President of India Pranab Mukherjee during latter's visit to the city on Saturday on the Polavaram issue.

Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Ponguleti said that KCR has completely ignored the issue of merger of seven mandals of Khammam district into Seemandhra. Despite giving an assurance, KCR neither sent an all-party delegation to New Delhi nor he convened an all-party meeting on the issue. Taking advantage of the President's visit to the city, the government should send an all-party delegation seeking his intervention on the issue.

Ponguleti also informed that the Telangana Congress would organise a protest on Polavaram issue at Indira Park on August 9th, the anniversary of Quit India Movement.

Speaking about fee reimbursement issue, he alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was playing a big gamble by offering to share 52% of fee reimbursement cost with the Telangana Government. He claimed that less than 30% of the beneficiaries of fee reimbursement hail from Telangana. He advised that both KCR and Naidu sit together to find a solution to the ongoing controversy.
