HYDERABAD: With his desire fulfilled separate Telangana state, a devotee has offered 11,116 coconuts Ganesha, completing the task on Monday.
Chandrasekhar, an activist who participated in the movement for Telangana state, broke coconuts on the idol of Ganesh at Khairatabad here.
He said he was committed to offer coconuts and has become a reality independent from the state, made the offering.
In their petition, the chief K Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana minister broke the first coconut when the idol was installed 11 days ago. Since then, the devotee has been offering coconuts. On the last day, broke the remaining 600 coconuts.
Kharitabad The idol is 60 feet tall, the tallest in the city. Each year, organizers installed higher than the previous idol.
This year, about 5,000 kg 'laddu' was put in the hands of the deity, installed as the "Kailasa Ganapathi".
