Kurnool: A day before the TDP government is ready to make an announcement on the new capital AP, demand for Kurnool as the capital has intensified, and bandh was observed in Kurnool today.

Blaming the TDP for its plan to promote pro-TDP landowners lobby, several student organizations called for a bandh in Kurnool. Several commercial establishments voluntarily participated in the bandh and most schools were closed. 

Student organizations recalled that Kurnool was the capital of Andhra and recalled previous Sri Bagh pact between Andhra and Rayalaseema leaders in the pre-independence days. 

They staged a demonstration demanding do Kurnool as the capital of AP. 

Meanwhile, Anantapur district attorneys demanded that the government create High Court in its region (Rayalaseema).
