This time it came out winners to become the second in the world in smoking. In a surprising trend, female smokers increased dramatically and is 12.1 million, which is higher than any country except the United States.
In 2012, the women's smoking was merely 3.2%, which was unchanged from 1980. However, increased while male smokers decreased from 33.8% to 23%. These results were published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in the study titled "Cigarette smoking prevalence and consumption in 187 countries, 1980-2012",
