Telangana Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Wednesday alleged that the BJP-led NDA Government was continuing the mistakes committed by its predecessor UPA Government.
Speaking to media persons here, KTR said that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be called as UPA-3 as it has been continuing the wrong policies adopted by the previous regime. He said if the NDA wants to continue the policies of UPA, then what people have gained by voting for a change. Referring to the delegation of special powers to the Governor in telangana, he said Modi should not repeat the mistake done by Sonia Gandhi. He asked the telangana BJP to pressurise the Centre to carry out specific amendments in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act to ensure that the law and order powers remains with the State Government. This is the testing time for the BJP to prove its loyalty and honesty towards telangana State and its people, he said.
Reacting to the allegations being leveled against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao by telangana Congress, KTR described the TPCC as a divided house. He said several Congress leaders have openly expressed their resentment over continuation of Ponnala Lakshmaiah on the post of TPCC President. Therefore, Ponnala have no right to criticise and he should tender an apology with the Chief Minister for his remarks.
Defending the proposed Comprehensive Household Survey, KTR said that TRS Government had every right to gather statistics related to the people living in telangana State. He said people were vested interests were opposing the proposed survey.
