Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday issued orders to increase the Dearness Allowance of public employees by 5,992 percent retroactively to July 1 The DA would be paid in cash along with the salary October 1 to pay November arrears for July-September was credited to the statement of General Provident Fund. Staff retiring later than January 31, 2015, the arrears will be paid in cash. 

However, in the case of employees who retire on or before January 31, 2015 the DA arrears would be paid in cash as employees due to retirement are exempted from making any subscription to the General Provident Fund during the last four months service. 

The government has also sanctioned an ad hoc increase of Rs 100 per month cash part-time helpers and assistants village income from 1 July 2014 will be applicable to pensioners and families.
