Hyderabad: Hyderabad is fast becoming a favorite destination for mobile malware after Chandigarh, Bangalore, Chennai and New Delhi. With numbers of smartphones and data upload expanding its use for the day, cybercriminals are attacking mobile phones.
City experts said it is very important to upgrade a computer or smartphone software regularly. They claim that many spam email allow access to its own confidential information that is used by hackers without the owner's knowledge.
"Sometimes we have tried to test the security force, and trust me, it's a cinch. Folks, every time they have software update notifications, you must take it seriously and keep your devices up to date," said a hacker .
In the last threat of F Secure Lab Report H1 2014, India is said to be the fourth most affected worldwide mobile malware country. Between April and June 2014, 295 new families of threats, of which 294 were detected in one Android and iOS were discovered.
Moreover, mobile ransomeware going to be the next big threat to the phones. These ransomeware also target companies. Ramsomware, a type of malicious software, is designed to block access to a computer until it is paid a certain sum of money.
