Former MLAs of telangana Congress on Friday criticised the TRS Government for its stand on fee reimbursement issue and nativity.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, former MLAs - Devireddy Sudhir Reddy and Kuna Srisailam Goud accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of creating enmity among the Telugu speaking people over the issue of nativity. They reminded the Chief Minister of his assurances given during telangana agitation of protecting the interest of Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad. However, they alleged that KCR went back on his words by asking them to prove their nativity.
They said that although they were born and brought up in Hyderabad, they themselves could not prove their nativity, especially the 1956 condition being imposed by the TRS Government. They said it was ridiculous on the part of the government to ask people to prove that they have been living in the State since 1956. They advised TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy to demand for a special session of State Legislative Assembly to discuss the issue.
The Congress leaders demanded that KCR either withdraw his stand or face massive protests, especially in Ranga Reddy district.
