Greater Hyderabad has crossed another milestone as it is now become the second largest city in IT exports. Overcoming Chennai and Pune in IT operations, the city crawled to second place with about 12% is exported for the year 2013-14 in the country, as was confirmed by the STPI (Software Parks of India) and the Ministry of Commerce. 

Bangalore is in the number one spot with 31% exports, Chennai in third with 11%, Pune in fourth with 10%, and is situated in Mumbai fifth with 8% exports in information technology.
