Hyderabad: energy demand from the agricultural sector fell from 2,000 MW to 900 MW during the weekend and will be further reduced during the week, taking pressure of other sectors. 

In most areas, utilities have reduced the planned cuts, except a few where high local demand persists. Power cuts in the domestic sector is likely to officially reversed within 10-15 days. The holiday of two days in power industry could be reduced to one. 

"Although most areas have benefited, some areas could have been longer cuts depending on local requirements or emergencies, but in part we have rolled back cuts in all sectors except industry. In time more a week the situation will be much better with another 500 MW farm injunction lower, "said a senior official. 

It is expected that the current deficit 12-15000000 units per day to lose with the completion of the Kharif season. 

The industrial demand is nearly 3000 MW. But the sector will continue to see cuts to 500 MW by the Centre assured flows.
