Hyderabad: It's certainly good news for the unemployed. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has increased the age limit for government jobs 34-40 years.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh today issued a GO in this regard. The gesture of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu facilitate the unemployed over 34 years in competitions for jobs in the government and the public sector appear.

According to the IR, the AP Government is ready to fill vacant posts in various categories in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Consequently, recruitment agencies are reporting vacancies from time to time. As it is conducting direct recruitment after a gap, the need to increase the age limit of 34 years to 40 years is required because of the inevitability of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the consequent reduction in opportunities for educated unemployed youth in Andhra Pradesh. The opportunities that existed before the bifurcation of the combined AP were lost after the bifurcation of the state. Hence the proposal to increase the age limit of 34 years to 40 years has become need of the hour.

Consequently, the rule increasing the maximum age limit of 34 years prescribed in Rule 12 of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, for six years was modified by recruitment.
