Everyone is aware that Superstar Surya and Samantha's Tamil movie Anjaan is being released as Sikandar in Telugu on August 15 and producer Sridhar Lagadapati has acquired its theatrical rights for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But not many knows about the prices of its distribution and satellite rights. As per rumours in the film nagar, these rights have fetched approximately Rs 16 crores for its makers. Sridhar Lagadapati is the founder of Hyderabad production company Larsco Entertainment, which produces Telugu films and content for Television under the banner of Ramalakshmi Cine Creations. The producer has reportedly shelled out Rs 13 crores on the distribution rights of Sikandar. Meanwhile, a leading Telugu TV channel has acquired its satellite rights for a whopping amount of Rs 3 crores. Trade experts in film nagar opine that both the prices are highest amount ever for a Telugu version of Tamil film. With the film slated to release in theatres this Friday, some people could not stop asking whether it will recover their investment. Some others feel that Surya has huge fan following in the state and there is no new big Telugu release to with Sikandar. So it will work wonders at the Tollywood Box Office. However, Surya's Anjaan has done fantastic pre-release business and set several new records in India as well as overseas.
