A catastrophic incident took place in Himachal Pradesh yesterday. Some students of Vignan Jyothi Institute were on a tour to the Mandi District went into the largi dam on Biyas river at that time the gates of the river were opened without any intimation and 24 students were washed away in the stream of water. The local police and the officers took safety measures to help the students.

The Mandi District police informed that the dead bodies of some students were found. Out of the 24 students who went missing 18 were boys and 6 girls. The lecturers who accompanied the students are safe. Himachal Pradesh government is taking this matter very seriously. The officers responsible for this incident were suspended immediately. The police are still searching for the students, 5 dead bodies are found till now.
