This was the first installment of funds released for BHEL to build supercritical plants in Kothagudem and Manuguru in Khammam district.
The chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana minister on Wednesday presented a check for Rs. 350 million rupees President and CEO Bharat Electricals Limited B. Prasada Rao for the construction of supercritical plants in Kothagudem and Manuguru in Khammam district.
This was the first installment of funds released to BHEL owned by the state, a major in the field of plant equipment power after a memorandum of understanding with the state government for commissioning was signed in up of the plants.
Sources said Mr Rao asked the senior executive BHEL to complete the works in Kothagudem in two years and one year later in Manuguru. He promised to obtain authorization room two thermal power plants in Damaracharla in Nalgonda district when going to New Delhi on January 4 and 5.
Moreover, the Prime Minister discussed with senior officials of proposals for the implementation of the program of mains water to supply drinking water. He asked them to take steps to divert water to drink to Krishna Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy and Nalgonda districts in two years. Raw water should not be pumped at high altitude areas.
