Vijayawada: A one and a half year old boy was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by his uncle, who then threw the body in the Krishna river in Guntur, police said Thursday. The child's body was found by police Tadepalli on the banks of Krishna River in the early hours of Thursday.
"The child, Bodapati Mokshanadh, who lived with his grandfather Rambabu, a sub-inspector assistant police Ponnur had disappeared last night after his paternal uncle Hari Krishna (the brother of the father of the child) was taken" an inspector in Tadepalli said Police station.
"Later a missing complaint was filed at the police station Ponnur" said Rambabu.
From Hari Krishna was the last person with whom the child, police suspect kidnapped the child and then killed him and threw his body into the river he was. The boy's father Bhaskar works as a software engineer in an IT company in Hyderabad. A search was launched for the boy's uncle, police said.
