However, even before Andhra Pradesh is to overcome the devastation Hudhud, another tragedy has hit the northern coastal Andhra. A firecrackers factory in Kakinada, East Godavari has caught fire. At least 13 people were killed according to preliminary reports and 15 were seriously injured. 

More than 50 people are said to be working in the factory. However, management is in deep shock and can not disclose details. The seriously injured were taken to nearby Kakinada Government Hospital.7 15 are said to be critical. District Collector and RDO have rushed to the scene. Chandra Babu Naidu Chief Minister, who has just returned to Hyderabad from Vizag, expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims and directed the authorities to secure the support measures.
