Hyderabad: Saddula Bathukamma is celebrated throughout Telangana marking the culmination of the nine-day festivities. All Tank Bund area became a sea of humanity and the area was full of fragrance of flowers and lights. Women, children and men came in large numbers and participated in the gala.
As chief K Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana Minister and Governor ESL Narsimhan arrived on the scene with their families, the balloons were released into the air and everything seemed colorful sky. A Bathukamma floating in the Hussain Sagar caught the attention of people.
While the Chief Minister and Governor greeted the people on the occasion of Dasara festival and Bathukamma, Vimala Narasimhan, Governor's wife, Shobha, wife of the Prime Minister, and the wives of politicians and senior bureaucrats played Bathukamma.
A large stage was erected in Tank Bund with a bow and Bathukamma Kakatiya style remained at center stage. The governor was inquisitive about preparing Bathukamma as KCR's daughter Kavitha came on stage Bathukumma head, the governor raised his head plate, examined and turned away.
