Padmalaya Studios is of the big film studios in Tollywood, in recent times it has come under scanner. In 1982, Chief Minister Chenna Reddy gave 9.518 acres of land in Shaikpet area to Superstar Krishna at a price of Rs.8,500 per acre to shift film industry from Chennai to Hyderabad. According to th sources, the market price was high which was approximately 5 lakhs per acre, But according to the rules the land should be strictly used for film related purposes. Superstar Krishna sold 5.3 acres of land to third parties. Currently, studio is in 4 acress which values around Rs 350 to 450 crore as per the current market. Regarding this issue, there were long stand controversies. District collector conducted enquiry in to the issue and confirmed that Superstar had violated the regulations. By this collector had ordered Krishna to return back the 9 acres land to the government. Mahesh babu Land Property in Trouble.
