Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident, two couples were arrested for allegedly selling a girl in Chilkalguda area, police said Thursday.

Shalini's mother three months old girl, allegedly sold his daughter for 15,000 rupees to Bhavani, who has no children, after the baby is born on October 7 Shalini later demanded more money from Bhavani, they said.

"When Bhavani refused to pay an additional amount, Shalini police approached the 22 December and filed a complaint stating that her daughter had been kidnapped," said Inspector K Srinivasulu Chilkalguda.

During the course of the investigation, police found it Shalini who had filed a false complaint and that she had sold her daughter, shortly after giving birth to Bhavani said.

After a thorough investigation, police searched a fresh offense in the relevant sections of the IPC and arrested Shalini and her husband Sai Kumar on Wednesday the sale of your baby. The buyers Bhavani S Raju and her husband were also arrested while the baby was sent to a rescue center for children, said the police officer.
