Hyderabad: Grades awarded to students of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University now available online for companies to cross verify authenticity. The move is in the context of the increasing use of fake diplomas and certificates unworthy candidates for working the land in companies.
University officials also said that all certificates issued by JNTU-Hyderabad would be the address of the Web site to inform employers to check online for authenticity. It is also expected that other universities in the state to join the system soon.
NASSCOM, the umbrella body for IT companies, had approached the chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao Telangana minister asking him to take action against the threat of false certificates. He had asked officials to put authentic certificates online for companies to check again.
The Web site is now up and running, allowing companies to verify the authenticity of the credentials of prospective employees.
