TI and Panchayati Raj Minister KT Rama Rao announced Tuesday in the legislature that the Telangana government is planning to set up industrial parks throughout the state and said that a project is preparing for a new industrial policy.
This announcement came in response to questions raised by opposition lawmakers on the new industrial policy of the government during Question Time on Tuesday. The minister also said the government was examining the feasibility of creating a textile industrial park in Warangal.
IT Minister said then to solve the energy crisis in the state, the government was preparing a long-term plan in this regard and a separate project was being developed to provide a boost to solar power generation.
The idea was to provide energy throughout the day to industries in the state, he said, adding that his government is willing to encourage women entrepreneurs in Telangana.
He also clarified that the government will work for the development of SCs and STs in the industrial sector of the state.
Reacting to the response of the Minister Geeta Reddy Congress senior leader said the previous Congress government had worked to develop castes and tribes in the state.
The Congress leader asked the minister when the new industrial policy will take effect.
