Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said the TRS would lose the right to seek a mandate in the 2019 elections if it fails to give a male connection to every household in Telangana.
"No woman should be seen out on the streets with a bowl of water at the time," Rao said at the meeting of the State Committee of TRS to discuss arrangements for the plenary of the party here on 11 and 12 October This was the meeting opening of the organ of state after the elections and for leaders who report how the party could function as a bridge between the people and the government.
In explaining his priorities, Mr. Rao stressed the creation of a healthy society, providing potable water which would eliminate 70 percent of the diseases of the people. It would be the greatest achievement of the government. He would ensure 24-hour power after three years, although his counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu AP was currently set by obstacles in the sector by denying Telangana share of hydel power project and Baja Sileru Krishnapatnam thermal project.
Contraction of the Fund directed
The government had passed a tight financial situation last month for the release of Rs. 4,250 crore loan waiver for farmers and meet the bill of salaries and pensions of staff alongside other government spending. "A net amount of Rs. 8,000 crore is required just managed the government."
Mr. Rao said the government was disadvantaged by the delay in delivery of IAS and IPS officers that led to policy paralysis. However, the government took historic decisions in the past four months.
