The survey was created fear among people from the Seemandhra region residing in Telangana which was designed to identify native Seemandhra.

"We have told the Prime Minister that we did the survey and got the better of her. Inform you (about) the benefits of the survey," TRS Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao told PTI here after the meeting.

Keshava Rao said the survey was conducted only to know the true facts on the ground in the context of alleged excess ration cards.

"There are 80 lakh households, but the ration cards of 1.2 million rupees. Wanted to know the reason behind it ... So we thought the best thing would be to get the real picture.

We had no other intention, "he said.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by his party MPs. Keshava Rao said the delegation also urged the PM to consider a second airport to Hyderabad, in the northern part of the city.

"We already have an airport in the southern part of Hyderabad. We have asked other airport in the northern part of the city." Telangana special representative in Delhi
