Famous actor ‘Mithun Chakravarthi’ is going to become a Rajya Sabha member soon. He is going to contest for Rajya Sabha from West Bengal.

Chief Minister Mamatha Banerjee selected Mithun to contest for Rajya Sabha on behalf of her party. Mamatha Banerjee praised Mithun saying he has used his life to do cultural and social services to the society and has gained lot of success in that.

By giving the movie stars a place in the politics helps as use their popularity in the people. Mamatha Banerjee also did the same.
