Melbourne: "Narendra and" Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said this at a joint press conference with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi after a summit meeting while stressing how the two countries were expanding their cooperation in various fields.

The personal warmth Abbott shared with Modi was reflected again at a reception at the iconic 161 years old, Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), where Modi said is like a "brother".

"Narendra and" Abbott said a couple of times, referring to the determination of the two leaders to work together to help strengthen relationships. Abbott had urged world leaders to speak from the heart rather than a script at the summit of the Group of 20 most important industrialized and emerging economies Brisbane.

"If we could use the names, that would be good too because, whatever disagreements we may have, it helps if at least may have personal warmth between us," he said. When Modi, the first Prime Minister of India to visit Australia in 28 years after Rajiv Gandhi in 1986, entered the headquarters of the G-20, gave him a warm hug Abbott.

Before Modi began his speech to lawmakers today, Abbott said he was determined to correct the situation where no Indian Prime Minister had addressed the Australian Parliament. He said leaders of various countries have addressed the Parliament, but no Indian leader has done.

"Personally, I am delighted that this has been corrected," Abbott said.

The two leaders met several times - both formally and informally - during the East Asia Summit and the G-20.

"My memorable visit to Australia ends today. He has started a new relationship," Modi said while speaking at the MCG. At the end of his four cities Australia tour, Modi gave a souvenir to Australia signed by the World Cup winning Indian captains and himself.
